What is a vasectomy?
A vasectomy is a minor surgical procedure that prevents sperm from entering the semen. Sperm are still produced, but they’re safely reabsorbed by the body. The no-scalpel technique uses a tiny puncture instead of an incision, which leads to faster healing and fewer complications.

What does the day of the procedure look like?
The vasectomy is typically completed in under 20 minutes. It’s done in our clinic using local anesthesia, and you’ll be able to go home shortly after. Most people can return to non-strenuous activities within 1-2 days.
What’s the recovery like?
Mild soreness, swelling, or bruising is normal. Ice packs, scrotal support, and rest are recommended the first 24-48 hours.

When can I have sex again?
Usually within a week, once any discomfort has resolved. However, sperm may still be present in semen for a few months. We’ll test your semen post-op to confirm the procedure was effective.
