Dr. James Weinberger is a fellowship-trained urologic surgeon who specializes in male fertility, sexual medicine, and men’s health. As Director of Men’s Health and Fertility at Reproductive Partners Medical Group as well as at Fertility Centers of Orange County, he brings deep clinical expertise and a commitment to compassionate, personalized care.
Dr. Weinberger did his fellowship training with world-renowned microsurgeon, Dr. Martin Bastuba, becoming part of an elite group (2%) of urologists who perform advanced microsurgery for the treatment of male infertility. He also trained with Dr. Irwin Goldstein, considered the forefather of the field of sexual medicine. During his fellowship year, Dr. Weinberger along with Dr. Goldstein, and Dr. Alyssa Yee pioneered the use of a buccal mucosa graft in surgery for neuroproliferative vestibulodynia. Dr. Weinberger performed the world’s first ever complete anterior and posterior vestibulectomy with vaginal advancement flap and buccal mucosa graft placement. His work has led him to serve as invited course faculty for the American Urologic Association (AUA) annual conference and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) annual meetings.
He graduated magna cum laude from Duke University where he played cornerback for the NCAA Division 1 Football team. He then completed his MD and MBA at UCLA, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He stayed at UCLA for his surgical training where he was recognized for his research, teaching, and leadership with multiple awards, including the prestigious UCLA Guy Dalla Riva award, given to the resident most able to combine clinical skills, research, and compassion.
Widely published in medical journals and a frequent speaker at national conferences, Dr. Weinberger believes in empowering patients with science-backed options and judgment-free support, especially during life’s most personal decisions.
