What is TESA?

TESA stands for Testicular Sperm Aspiration. A small needle is used to extract sperm-containing tissue under local anesthesia. It’s typically done in men with obstructive azoospermia, when sperm is being produced but can’t reach the semen due to a blockage or prior vasectomy.
